Keystone United Methodist Federal Credit Union (KUMFCU) is a member of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) which is the federal agency that charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) which insures the accounts of account holders in all federal credit unions such as KUMFCU. Share insurance coverage protects members against losses if a federally insured credit union should fail. Federal credit union accounts are insured up to $100,000. These accounts include regular shares, checking, money market and share certificates. You can feel confident in the safety and security of the money in your federally insured credit union accounts because no member has ever lost money insured by the NCUSIF.
